DGMF Mold Latch Lock MPLK Features

The MPLK-type mold latch lock unit enables well-balanced mold opening/closing through its mechanism composed of a Belleville spring, internal rollers, and lock rollers.

MPLK-type mold latch lock unit’s rollers prevent uneven wear.

The lock bushing’s vertically symmetrical design allows a worn piece to be reused by reinstalling it in reverse

The lock holder’s back recess enables it to be used even on stepped mold plates.

DGMF Mold Latch Lock MPLK Load Adjustment and Load Characteristics

The opening/closing load can be adjusted using an Allen wrench. The load is maximum when the adjustment bolt is fully tightened, 50% when it is loosened a half rotation, and 0 when it is loosened 1 rotation or more.

For mold latch lock MPLK10, the load decreases about 25% when the adjustment bolt is loosened a half rotation, 70% when it is loosened one rotation

The load for mold closing is about 50% of mold opening.

A fixing screw is provided on the load adjustment bolt.

Loosen it to perform load adjustment, and make sure to tighten it after adjustment is completed.

Note: Make sure to assemble the right and left units symmetrically for well-balanced operation.

 

 

 

DGMF Mold Latch Lock MPLK Installation and Applications

How to install an MPLK latch lock unit?

1. The MPLK latch lock device should be positioned and symmetrically installed when the mold is closed, according to the mold and the size of the pulling force.

2. Failure to install symmetrically on the mold may result in a single set of clamping clips being subjected to forces that are unbalanced and may result in the MPLK latch lock device clips breaking.

3. Installation of MPLK latch lock set and locking seat at right angles to the direction of mold opening movement and parallel to the parting surface.

4. Although there is a blank space behind the lock seat when installing it, the segment difference between the templates should not exceed the blank space value.

5. The MPLK latch lock product can be installed symmetrically with two or four sets according to the actual situation, but it should be noted that the maximum load of the clamping assembly should not be exceeded when it is in use.

6. Please do not use the MPLK latch locking clips with other self-processed parts.

7. The tension of the MPLK latch lock device has been adjusted by our company with special equipment and locked with headless screws, please do not adjust the adjusting nut by yourself, so as not to cause the tension deviation of the MPLK latch lock unit on the same set of molds, resulting in uneven tension leading to damage.

8. If the mold needs to be repaired and changed, please remove the clamping device before proceeding with the subsequent operation.

9. After the installation is completed with the function test, check the MPLK latch lock mechanism of the various parts of the mold is smooth.
