Ejection Mechanisms

What is the ejection mechanism?

The ejection mechanism is a mechanism used in injection molds to eject the molded plastic parts from the mold. The function of the ejection system is to eject the product from the mold smoothly, ensure the demoulding quality, and ultimately determine the quality of the product.

Common ejection mechanism types

Ejector ejection mechanism:

This is one of the most common and simple ejection methods. Through the ejector set on the mold, the product is ejected from the mold by mechanical force or pneumatic force. Suitable for smaller products and simple mold structures. ‌

Slider ejection mechanism:

Suitable for the need to set a slider in the mold to realize the ejection of complex shapes or large-sized products. The slider is usually connected to the slider guide of the mold, and the product is ejected from the mold through the movement of the slider guide.

‌Ejector plate ejection mechanism:

The product is ejected through the ejector plate, which is suitable for larger products and situations where a higher ejection force is required.

‌Pneumatic ejector mechanism:

Use the air pressure provided by the cylinder or pneumatic components to eject the product from the mold. It has the characteristics of being fast and stable and is suitable for situations with high requirements for demolding speed and ejection force.

Hydraulic ejector mechanism:

Use the hydraulic pressure provided by the hydraulic system to eject the product from the mold. It has a large ejection force and precise control ability.

It is suitable for demolding large products or special materials with high requirements for ejection force.

‌Multi-component integrated ejector mechanism:

Combining several ejector mechanisms to achieve the purpose of ejection, such as ejector rod plus ejector plate, ejector tube plus ejector plate, etc. ‌

‌Inclined slider ejector mechanism:

When the plastic part has inner and outer holes or side concave that are different from the mold opening direction, an inclined slider demolding mechanism must be used.

That is, the parts with molded side holes or side concave are made into active cores. When the plastic part is de-molded, the active core is first pulled out, and then the plastic part is ejected from the mold.

The secondary ejector mechanism is a mechanism required in a special demolding process. It is ejected twice or more times to complete the smooth demolding of the product.

The secondary ejection mechanism is suitable for some special mold designs and product shapes to ensure that the product can be completely removed from the mold.
