Analysis of Defects of Transparent Injection Molded Products--DGMF MOLD CLAMPS CO., LTD

Frost spots, silver streaks, cracked polystyrene, transparent parts of plexiglass, sometimes sparkling filament-like silver streaks can be seen through the light. These silver streaks are also known as flecks or cracks.

This is due to the stress generated in the vertical direction of the tensile stress, and the weight ratio of the polymer molecules under heavy flow orientation is different from that of the unoriented portion.

Solution:

Eliminate the interference of gas and other impurities, and fully dry the plastic.

Reduce the material temperature, adjust the barrel temperature in stages, and appropriately increase the mold temperature.

Increase injection pressure and decrease injection speed.

Increase or decrease the pre-mold back pressure and reduce the screw speed.

Improve the exhaust condition of the runner and cavity.

Clear nozzles, runners, and gates for possible blockages.

Shorten the molding cycle and remove the silver streaks by annealing after demolding: keep polystyrene at 78 ° C for 15 minutes, or 50 ° C for 1 hour, and for polycarbonate, heat to 160 ° C for several minutes.
